Amazing Backwards Buzzer Beater
Twin Valley South High School Player Has Backwards Buzzer Beater
Austin Groff, a guard for Twin Valley South (Ohio) High School, made perhaps the best buzzerbeater of the year that didn't really affect the outcome of the game in which it occurred. Still, it's pretty awesome.
With time winding down in the first quarter, Groff throws a pass directly into a defenders hands, deflecting the ball back to midcourt. Groff retrieved the ball, stared aimlessly out of bounds for a second or two, then, after prodding from the bench, heaved a desperation shot over his head.

Shaquille O'Neall Conduct The Boston Pops
Shaquille O'Neal has done a lot of wacky things throughout his career, from attempting to rap to starring in the abomination known as Kazaam.
But Shaq, the music conductor? You betcha.
Last night at Boston's Symphony Hall, the Boston Celtic donned his finest black and white tuxedo and made his "conducting debut."
O'Neal led the Boston Pops Orchestra and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus in "Sleigh Ride" at the Holiday Pops Concert.
I gotta admit, this was much better than anything we saw when Shaq played a genie.
You can tell he's about 0.03 seconds from busting out laughing while he's conducting the orchestra.

Eurobasket 2007: Croatia - Spain 85:84
Marko Tomas buried a three-pointer with 3.1 seconds remaining as Croatia stunned Spain 85-84 to finish top of Group B in Seville.
The win, achieved in Seville’s San Pablo Pavilion, gained partial revenge for the Croatians who were knocked out of EuroBasket 2005 by Spain in the quarter-finals.
The result also put Portugal into the next round, while eliminating Latvia – the team that beat Croatia in the opening game, 85-77.
Portugal upset Latvia on Wednesday.
“I’m really happy that we qualified for the next round with four points, that’s a big advantage for us,” said Croatia coach Jasmin Repesa.
“But, at the same time, we have to stay quiet and go game by game because we’ve seen many surprises already in this championship. I believed after the first big loss to Latvia, that we would get to Madrid. But I was worried how we played then.”

GORAN IVANISEVIC dedicated Wimbledon title to DRAZEN PETROVIC
Goran Ivanisevic dedicated his Wimbledon title to a good friend, an NBA star killed in a car crash eight years ago. Drazen Petrovic, a Croatian compatriot, was a member of the New Jersey Nets when he died in the accident in Germany. "I went to his funeral just before Wimbledon and I said I was going to dedicate that Wimbledon to him," Ivanisevic said after beating Patrick Rafter in five sets. "Unfortunately I played pretty badly and I lost in the third round." Ivanisevic said his father brought him some newspapers before this tournament. In one of them was a poster of Petrovic, who was one of the best shooters in the NBA. "So I ripped it off and put it on the wall," he said. "I said, 'This must be destiny. This is it.' Everything was going smoothly and I won it. I want to dedicate this victory to him. "He was not my best friend, but he was my good friend," Ivanisevic added. "He was one of the greatest basketball player in Europe ever."
