Podgorica - Crna Gora je igrala bolje nego protiv Slovenije, a doživjela prvi poraz na stadionu pod Goricom. Dugo je mirisalo na pobjedu - čvrstina na sredini, konture pravog tima, bolja igra i više zrelijih šansi od protivnika. Hladnokrvni Šveđani, ipak, nijesu imali sentimentalnosti prema domaćem timu i šest hiljada navijača - iskoristili veliki pad protivnika u finišu, kaznili dvije greške i odnijeli pobjedu. U meču u kojem je četa Zorana Filipovića zaslužila mnogo više od minimalnog poraza domaćin je poveo golom Vučinića u 16. minutu, a Skandinavci preokrenuli preko Rozenberga i Price u 70. i 74.

In the women’s High Jump, Blanka Vlasic of Croatia was also supreme taking the win in a meeting record equalling 2.04m, on her third effort, with two out of her three attempts at a would-be World record of 2.10 also quite decent. Olympic champion Yelena Slesarenko of Russia with a 2.01 clearance on her third try was second, the only other athlete on this chilly night able to get above 2m.

Vlasic’s rise continues
When local hero Kajsa Bergqvist and Russian Champion Anna Chicherova went out at 2.01 Vlašić had a clean sheet with five spotless leaps. She continued with 2.03 at her second attempt which already guaranteed a one-carat diamond before she attacked her own Croatian record of 2.06 with the bar raised to 2.07. The second effort was close and the third successful. Only World record holder Stefka Kostadinova has jumped higher outdoors.
